Steve Childs
Steve is no stranger to big wave kayaking having been part of the expedition to kayak surf the fearsome Teahupo'o (Tahiti) for the first time. Combining his surfing talent with his design career has led him to the forefront of modern surf kayak design. These skills will be useful in analysing traditional craft versus new modern designs. As a professional photographer, author for several international publications, and regular contributor to Paddles magazine Steve will also be leading the team in documenting the expedition in film and images for online uses, for sponsors and for magazines.
